FLUIDIZED SANDBED BIOFILTER
The Fluidized Sandbed Biofilter is a high-efficiency filtration system designed to replace traditional bio-trough systems while significantly reducing space requirements. Utilizing advanced anaerobic denitrification technology, this biofilter effectively removes ammonia nitrogen from water, ensuring a healthier aquatic environment.
At the core of its filtration process is calcified coral sand, which serves as the filter media. With a contact surface area ranging from 20,000 to 24,000 m²/m³ (depending on the selected grain size), this specialized media offers exceptional efficiency. On average, just 1 kg of coral sand can process up to 16 g of ammonia (NH4) within 24 hours.
Compared to conventional biochemical denitrification systems, the Fluidized Sandbed Biofilter not only requires less space and consumes lower energy but also significantly enhances the overall denitrification efficiency. This makes it an ideal solution for both freshwater and seawater aquaculture, providing sustainable and cost-effective water treatment.
Nitrification:
1 Kg Filter media / 16 gram(NH3)/ 24 hour
1 kg Protein (Food)= 160 gram(NH4)
100 kg fish = 1 kg protein
10 kg Fluidized sand = 100 Kg fish (for stable effect, X 2-3times)
Features:
High efficiency
Small footprint
Low maintenance costs
Material:
LDPE and UPVC, standard UPVC pipeline connection.
